Haven’t had much time to post in the trip Baltimore- Denver trip so far because we got such a late start, we are rushing through rather than taking a leisurely pace b/c we want to have some time out west, rather than blowing it all enroute, and we want to be back in Baltimore for Christmas.
In super-short, so far we’ve gone to:
Enroute- Morgantown, West Virginia – lunch
Overnight- Charleston, West Virginia
- visited State Capitol Bldg, cool bookstore downtown – Taylor Books
Enroute – Carter Caves State Park- cave tour and hike
Enroute – Frankfort, Kentucky – State Capitol Bldg
Overnight- Louisville, Kentucky
- visited Louisville Slugger Museum, Muhammad Ali Museum, Falls of the Ohio State Park (sealife fossils on the river), Churchill Downs- Home of the Kentucky Derby.
Enroute – Hemlock Cliffs Hike, Hoosier National Forest
Overnight – St Louis area
- The Loop area visit- Blueberry Hill restaurant and Subterranean Books
